I especially loved the soft and soothing feel of the section about the trilingual boy (though Bret's DIYs were interesting!).
Norteamericanos who claim "America" solely for themselves... and I know this is an example of "to the victor goes the spoils". Life rolls endlessly on that way, I think.
Somewhere, Bret does have a photograph of the toilet plate. I was hoping it would be unearthed (the photo, not the object...we left that in Madagascar) before this chapter appeared, but it was not to be. If and when it is found, I will add it here.
