The patience of saints throughout that breakfast scene. I'm still smiling over that. Breaking the fast indeed!

And as Kelly said, your thoughts (I almost wrote reflections) on mirrors are wonderful.

The perils of trying to profit off of tourism are well known to me from my life in Florida. Trying to accommodate tourists from a very different culture must be even more trying, not least because if you don't get it right the first time there may not be another that you can try. I was quite fascinated by your discussion of mirrors. I have always found it difficult to ignore my own reflection. I don't know why. I don't seem to exhibit other symptoms of narcissism but I can't seem to help looking at my reflection in water or store windows. I have very few reflectors in my house and I suspect that is why.

I wanted to add that your skin condition mimicked what the local nurses call "neck to knees" in North Florida but that seems to respond to sunlight. It shows up in the spring among those of us who frequent the spring-fed sinkholes of the area on those parts of the body shaded by t-shirts, bikini tops and swim trunks. Skinny-dipping was the recommended treatment 🤣
