That is just disgusting, I am sorry this happened to you. I have lost faith that the people responsible for all these atrocities, big and small, will ever be held accountable (you know, the ones who were just "following orders"), but I am hoping that karma will eventually bite them in the behind, in this life or the next.

The good thing that I think came out of Covid is just the sheer amount of people that woke up to the corruptness of the system. And once you see it you can't unsee. No one goes back to that previous place once they left.

Let us profoundly hope so.

This is an appalling story. Just awful. I'm so very sorry at the way your country -your fellows- treated you, to the point where you knew you needed to abandon the career and life you'd built over decades (and so obviously loved).

I watched the video of the police visit to your home, and if that didn't anger me enough, the three police officers who 'lined up their witness' in court iced the cake.

As the old line in the movie goes:

"When policemen break the law, then there isn't any law."

I hope you are enjoying some things about your new 'norm'. I hope you're healthy. I hope one day there is recompense for the mistreatment piled on you.

Thank you for coming here to share what has happened to you.

Dear Dr. Paix - you are a hero of consience and science, and I applaud your courage and clarity. I also deeply appreciate learning your story, as adjunct and reinforcement of the lessons of authoritian overreach that was the unexpected gift of the "pandemic". Finally, I am encouraged to know that some Australians demonstrated the strength of conviction to resist, despite ugly consequences. Thank you and God bless you.

God, the injuries they have done to people! My heart goes out to you & your family. Thank you for sharing this. In the name of justice, word must continue to go out.

Thank you for your bravery, tenacity and forthrightness, and for using the position you had to do everything you could. If only another third of humanity had your conviction and clearsightedness, much of the covid debacle could have been avoided, and the world would look strikingly different than it does today...

I think, perhaps that I'm going to get a body camera and wear it whenever I step out my door. Anybody at any time can be framed for criminal conduct if the gubmint wants you locked up. Even honest people like this doctor. Thank god he had it all on video. Otherwise he'd be sitting in jail now.

And perhaps, thank god it was all on video right before AI came along and made video evidence less admissible. I wonder where all this is headed in a world where AI can make anything look real. In any case, very glad Dr. Paix was exonerated.
